I believe books change that. Not just the reading, the together part. 15 to 20 minutes a day reading aloud as a family builds vocabulary, critical thinking, and imagination. But more than that, it builds something we are desperately missing right now: real connection.

I joined PaperPie (formerly Usborne Books & More) six weeks after my second son was born. I’d stepped away from work to stay home, and I wanted to do something meaningful. Children’s books felt like an easy yes. We already loved them and were planning to homeschool. And I knew a great book could make a real difference in a child’s life.
More than 8 years later, I’ve helped hundreds of families build their home libraries, served schools and preschools across Kentucky, donated books to children in need, and earned a legacy sales award along the way. But what I’m most proud of is the families I’ve gotten to walk alongside and watching them build a life while books have a strong influence in their homes.
